Style has to survive real life
If it only works when you're rested, unhurried and standing still, it isn't style. It's a photograph.
What I would keep
Fabrics that recover, cuts that move, shoes you can actually cross a city in.
What I would change
Anything that requires the day to go perfectly.
Why
I have dressed for border crossings, boardrooms and 14-hour days. The test is always the same: does it hold?
I have arrived at meetings after a full day on a motorcycle and looked better than people who came from a hotel. Not because of the clothes' price — because of their behaviour.
Fabric behaviour is the least glamorous and most important thing I teach. What creases and stays creased. What holds a line at hour twelve. What looks worse under artificial light.
Choose for the worst version of your day, not the best. Then the best version takes care of itself.
