Iran-born Dr Maral Yazarloo is an enterprising lady with an MBA and a PhD in Marketing under her belt. She heads Retail -Marketing at Panchshil Realty, one of India’s leading realty developers. Balancing her corporate career with an artistic streak, she has been painting since she was a child and has had five exhibitions showcasing her artwork on ceramic and canvas. She studied Design in Milan and forayed into her strong passion for Luxury & Fashion. Her eye for detail encouraged her to move on to designing clothes and jewelry and thus brand Ma/Ya (Maral Yazarloo) was born in Paris.
With a passion for travel and biking, Maral has backpacked across 54 countries around the world and this multi-faceted approach reflects in the diversity and exclusivity of her designs. The different facets of Maral influence the distinct lines under brand Maral Yazarloo. The artist in her brings the colours and textures of her designs. The traveler in her gives a distinct perspective of culture and influences her resort and fusion wear. Fusion wear is a strong point for her as she maintains the balance between modernity and culture. Her corporate career contributes to the office and formal wear.

Her Persian roots can be witnessed, as she blends its traditional and royal designs with a contemporary touch. She combines delicate handiwork on resplendent fabrics to create mesmerizing ensembles with striking silhouettes. She skillfully blends Indian design influences of embroidery, fabrics such as silks and linen, and European cuts into a beautiful mélange of cultures and style. She believes that “life is in colors” and this is amply displayed in her collections which are bright and rich.
